Gluten Free Tamale Pie

Ingredients:

1 lb. Lean ground beef
3 cup Tomato sauce
½ tsp. salt
4 tsp. chili powder
¼ tsp. garlic powder
1 qt. Chilled cornmeal mush

[I use the tube corn meal mush that is in the dairy section at grocery store that I slice in about 1/8 inch to line a baking dish. Even up the side of it.]

Method:

Brown beef in skillet/ drain off fat.
Add tomato sauce & seasonings – heat thoroughly.
Pour into 2 Qt. Oblong baking dish lined with thin 1/8 slices of cornmeal mush.
Top with more cornmeal slices.

Bake – 425º – 25-30 minutes

If you like onions, they can be added while browning the ground beef.

Serve with tossed salad or cottage cheese. Mmm good!!
